Dearest,

I have yours No. 26 of 10th and No. 27 of 11th inct. the former enclosing your photos. Darling I don’t think they do you justice but at any rate I can see you look well. You wouldn’t want me to say I was very pleased with them would you?

Darling the long awaited news of leave is lovely and I shall impatiently await more precise details. For your private information March 8th to 13th is the close season and I do hope we shall be able to avoid this. Also, I confirm now that Mrs. Lawford’s No: is Farn: Kent 649.

I can very well imagine all the excitement in the Camp over the news. Also Wyn says when you get to Bromley North if you go into the Municipal Office A.R.P section and ask for Miss Clayton, she will get time off to drive you home to save you waiting for a ‘bus’.

I’m so glad Madam liked the little tea cosy, but you didn’t say what…

you thought of it.

I enclose a little wool for darning and will knit you some more gloves shortly. I’ve been awfully busy just lately and am just rushing to finish a balaclava helmet for Dad as I think he should have it for his work, especially as he has only just recovered from bronchitis.

You will no doubt know by now that Vic has your letter. He is making steady though slow progress. Tris thinks (he) will be in hospital for some weeks yet.

I note with pleasure that you safely received my No: 18.

Dearest, please forgive my ending now but I shall first be in time to catch the afternoon collection. You know how much I love you and long for you to be home with me.

Jill sends you a big hug and with all my love,

Yours,

Terry.
