Dingle Darling
How are you? My sweetest, I hope you had a not too uncomfortable journey down from Manchester and that Jill was a good girl. I’ve not yet had a letter from you darling since I got back, you will notice we are still here, although we expect, as I told you in my letter to move at any time. A lot of the huts have gone already, they seem to be trying to move the position piecemeal. They have not yet…

…lifted the leave restrictions I told you about, so I shall not be leaving here until 12 mid day on Sunday but will be with you darling just as soon as I can possibly manage. When I heard about the big raid on London I hoped you had kept to your original intention of travelling down on Tuesday and not on Sunday as you said you might. I am longing to hear what sort of Christmas you had, and whether Jill liked her G M carrier. I’ll tell you all about mine when I see you on Sunday,
Always and always,
Yours Kenneth
