Dearest
Since writing, I have decided to come home on Sunday after all. I could have changed but it meant altering the whole rota and, as we are getting our leave fortnightly as against every eleven weeks!, which is the time the other lads on the site are having to wait, and also because we want to be very careful not to lose this privilege I decided to stick to our original date. Anyway darling I’m awfully lucked…

…that I shall be with you this weekend and not have to wait another six or seven days. See you darling between three and four on Sunday.

All my love,

Kenneth
