Darling Jill,

Did you like the letter from Uncle Vic?

The place Daddy is living in is very different from home. Nearly everything is different, the bread is in great big long loaves like this:-

And the little girls and boys don’t wear shoes like yours but ones made of wood that go clickety click, clickety click as they walk.

The water doesn’t come out of the tap like ours, but from a thing called a pump with a handle you have to push up and down.
