Just a wee note for you to go with Daddy’s letter to mummy. I expect you’ll be interested to know that Daddy saw heaps of little baa-lambs this morning, some like Uncle Cecil was telling us about, and some had black nose and black legs right up to their tummies, but one specially…

…one boy was coal black all over, he showed up beautifully when he snuggled up to his pure white mummy. That’s all for now, be a good girl and take care of mummy.

- Monday 7th April, 1941 – German forces capture Skopje, Yugoslavia, while simultaneously advancing through southern Yugoslavia and northern Greece.
